Volunteer Rights and Responsibilities
As a volunteer you have the responsibility:
1. To be sincere in the offer of your service.
2. To believe in the value of your work.
3. To be committed to the community of ME/CFS
patients you serve around the world.
4. To carry out your duties to the best of your
abilities.
5. To sign and abide by the mandates of the BRC.
6. To maintain the dignity and integrity of the BRC.
7. To participate in meetings, and report the
status of your work in an honest fashion.
8. To monitor your self-care and be gentle with
yourself.
As a volunteer you have the right:
1. To be treated as a co-worker.
2. To be given work that you find challenging,
enjoyable, and that uses your specific abilities and talents.
3. To know as much about the operations of the BRC
as possible.
4. To express your opinions and point of view.
5. To be supported and accommodated, treated with
dignity and respect.
6. To be Heard
7. To be Recognized
8. To be Appreciated for the work you do
